Our approach

We believe that empowering caregivers starts with access to the right support - free of charge, anytime, anywhere

We provide caregivers and professionals working with individuals with disabilities access to a wide range of educational resources, including:

  • Expert-led webinars on relevant disability care topics

  • Online video demonstrations showing real-life techniques

  • Step-by-step tutorials for creating low-cost, practical tools

These resources are thoughtfully designed to meet caregivers where they are - practical, visual, and easy to use, no matter their level of experience or access to professional services.

The PECC Program

At the heart of our approach is the PECC Framework:

PROMOTE

EMPOWER

We promote access to therapeutic services

We empower caregivers and individuals with disabilities to support independence

Rocío and Sandra from Missions for Love Beyond Borders (pictured at the far left and far right) proudly donate essential therapeutic supplies to Unidad Educativa Especializada Cotopaxi in Ambato, Ecuador. Joining them from left to right are Verónica (Physical Therapist), and teachers Fernanda, Belén, and Sandra, all holding the donated materials that will directly support children with disabilities in their classrooms. This moment reflects the power of collaboration and the heart of our mission—providing tools, resources, and hope to the communities we serve.

COACH

COLLABORATE

We coach caregivers to foster skills and support family resilience

We collaborate with professionals and community partners that work with individuals with disabilities in our host countries

The PECC (Promote, Empower, Coach, Collaborate) program equips caregivers with practical, everyday skills that help their children thrive at home, in school, and within their communities.

At the heart of PECC is the belief that caregivers already hold deep wisdom, resilience, and strength. Our role is to honor and build upon that foundation by providing culturally responsive guidance, tools, and support that reinforce confidence and broaden each caregiver's impact.

Through strength-based practices and culturally appropriate interventions, PECC helps caregivers feel more empowered and informed as they support individuals with disabilities in reaching their full potential and participating fully in all areas of life.

The program is delivered over a 6–12 week cycle. During this time, dedicated coaches work closely with families, meeting at least once a week to identify goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements—ensuring families have the support they need every step of the way.
